Digital "Plugg-it, Drive-it" Tuning for Common rail engines

Is used for the tuning of common rail system for a variety of brands, including: BMW, Mercedes, Alfa, Lancia, Fiat, Iveco, Ford, Honda, Opel, etc. The direct and injection system, working under high pressure by means of the BOSCH << Common Rail >> system

BASICS

A high pressure fuel pump is driven by the engine and ensures a constant pressure in the: RAIL, or fuel level. Pipes connect this fuel level to the nozzles. Opening of each nozzle is activated by an electronic valve.

Explanation Common rail system

Due to the digital Plugg-it, Drive-it tuning system, the injection pressure is increased in comparison with the pressure normally provided to each injector. By calculating the engine load this engine is capable to change the pressure in the common rail in real time as well. After all, it is the total quantity of injected diesel which determines the engine power. Our system works with curve-mapping, and calculates what the increase in pressure may be. The systems work with a maximum pressure protection, which ensures that the maximum pressure in the common rail system does not exceed the maximum permissible value of rail pressure. This enables our system
to achieve a significant increase in power without increasing the end pressure, which can not be achieved by an analogue system. The program is monitored by what is referred to as a watchdog, in order to achieve a problem-free and safe increase in power without overloading the injectors and the rail system. This results in an increase of power of 20 - 56 hp without turbo pressure increase!! Installation times of this tuning set are reduced to an absolute minimum by our Plugg-it, Drive-it-system. Brand dealers and installation centres no longer need to invest (expensive) working hours in trainings. Investing in expensive equipment and tools is now redundant as well.

Digital "Plugg-it, Drive-it" Tuning for pump nozzles - engines

Tuning system used for the tuning of pump nozzles engines for the brands: Volkswagen, Audi, Ford, Seat and Skoda.

Photograph pomp nozzleA pump nozzle unit is a one cylinder injection pump including magnetic valve control and nozzle, integrated in one single module. The following tasks are similar to those of the rotating injection pump: - to generate the high pressure required for injection, - to inject the correct quantity of fuel on the exact moment. However the pump nozzle has the following advantages: lower combustion residues (carbon deposit), lower emission of waste gas, lower fuel consumption and a higher capacity efficiency. The advantages are achieved by: a higher injection pressure of 2050 bar maximum, an exact controlled injection and prime. Each cylinder is provided with an individual pump nozzle unit.

Tuning of this injection system is realised by the installation of an original VAG-adapter set, between the cylinder head injectors and the motor management system.

Due to the digital Plugg-it, Drive-it tuning system each injector is provided with a longer injection - by real-time pulse stretching. It is a complete digital system, meaning that each injection cycle is calculated individually and the hardware drives the injectors by means of extra drivers.

VP-37-module for VAG-engines

Tuning system used for the tuning of vehicles provided with a VP 37 fuel pump, e,g. for the VAG Group, BMW, and Ford engines.

Digital module for the VP-44 fuel pump

Tuning system used for the tuning of vehicles provided with a VP-44 fuel system used for e.g.: BMW (136pk), Audi 2.5 TDI, Opel Di/DTi/DTH, Saab Tid, Ford, etc.

Photograph VP 44 pumpThe VP 44 has enabled the possibility to inject fuel under an even higher pressure, and is actually the intermediary between the well-known VP 37 pump which has mainly been used in the VW TDI. Based on the advance of the common rail system the VP 44 pump has been replaced. This is the reason why at present only few automotive producers will opt to use of this pump.

Photograph: VP-44  tuningThe digital Plugg-it, Drive-it tuning system ensures that the CAN-bus cycle to the supply pipe of the fuel pump is interrupted, digitally processed and modified. Following the modification this signal is once again placed onto the CAN-bus cycle and offered to the radial fuel pump. The system is completely digital, meaning that each engine load is calculated individually. This results in increases of power of 18 - 42 hp without turbo pressure increase!! Installation times of this tuning set are reduced to an absolute minimum by our Plugg-it, Drive-it-system.
