Questions

1. Why tuning ...?

Many people wonder why one should tune an engine which runs just fine. And indeed, the present functionality of your vehicle does not require this, after all, your vehicle was performing well??
IS THAT CORRECT: many people experience on the one hand, once they bought a certain car, that it could have a bit more power, on the other hand experienced drivers are well aware that the power of their car is tested when driving uphill, pulling a caravan, or boat trailer. In both cases PLUGG-IT, DRIVE-IT module could provide what you are looking for. You stand to gain a torque of 30-35%, meaning that your car will have an increase in power, coming from "its soul". Next the acceleration increases and fuel consumption is reduced. If you compare this to buying an engine with increased power when buying a new car, our by-pass module will provide the perfect price/quality ratio.

2. Fumes and carbon...?

Will my car produces more fumes or carbon?

No, each tuning module is adjusted or tuned to each individual vehicle by means of our chip technology. By using this adjustment the carbon value is one of the aspects taken into consideration. We are proud to say that a well adjusted tuning module produces a lower carbon value during carbon measurement tests than vehicles without a tuning module. Should your vehicle "emit carbon", the consumption of your vehicle is higher than required, but produces no extra power. After all, in that case the fuel is not converted into energy, required to realise such increase in power.

3. Consumption...?

Will the fuel consumption of my vehicle increase?

In general we have found that a vehicle in which our by-pass module is installed has a reduced fuel consumption of 5 - 10%. This is based on the fact that our by-pass module increases the torque, resulting whereof the driver can switch gears sooner. Next, less revolutions are required when overtaking. One could say that your vehicle produces a similar performance with less torque. Naturally a higher torque or increased power (your right foot will be more heavy) will increase the fuel consumption slightly.

4. Is tuning damaging for the engine...?

The fact is that the engine as well as the transmission of your vehicle are confronted with a more heavy load. Your engine will experience a thermal and dynamic load, whereas the transmission will only experience an increased dynamic load. Luckily automotive producers have considered a more heavy overcompensation on the thermal and dynamic loads during the design phase of the complete vehicle. Consider driving with a vehicle loaded with luggage and persons, pulling a (too) heavy loaded caravan, in the mountains, under bad weather conditions. Due to this "overdimensioning" the automotive producer ensures that your vehicle will continue to perform well. Many tests and a vast experience of practical use have indicated that a tuned vehicle has almost no increased wear when compared to a non-tuned vehicle.
